What is Rotary? 

Members of our club understand that being a Rotarian is a privilege and are very committed to making a difference to the lives of others.

Rotary International, the world's first service organisation, is made up of over 33,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Its members form a global network of business and professional leaders who volunteer their time and talents to serve their communities and the world.

Rotary's theme Service Above Self, exemplifies the humanitarian spirit and work of the organisation's 1.2 plus million members. Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful community and international service projects characterize the activities of Rotary worldwide. Each year another special motto and logo are selected and this becomes the focus for the work of all Rotarians. The Mission of Rotary International is to ...

- support its member clubs in fulfilling the Objects of Rotary

- globally promote the concept of Service as a worthy endeavour

- strengthen and expand Rotary to communities around the world

- foster unity among member clubs of the association.
